Grupo Balmaseda will present candidates for specific positions to clients. While the fee is agreed upon in advance, it is paid only when the employer hires or contracts with one of our candidates. In the successful contingency search, the employer willingly explains job requirements, provides feedback on candidate qualifications, schedules interviews, and regularly informs our associate of the progress and status of candidates. Since a contingency search normally lacks an up-front financial incentive ("retainer") to Grupo Balmaseda, the number of candidates that a client will see from us is dependent on a variety of market factors. These market factors may include the geographic location of the position, the market place demand for the kind of position under search, and the pool of available active Hispanic / Latino candidates who meet your specific requirements. Overview and ApproachGrupo Balmaseda conducts Hispanic / Latino mid-level searches and senior level assignments for a wide range of clients. Our approach is composed of several distinct phases. PreparationWe begin each search with an in-depth discussion with you, the client. The purpose is to learn as much as possible about your company. Its purpose, people, product and / or service, short and long-term goals, its management style / philosophy, competition, and the position you are trying to fill. Why it is open, its purpose and responsibilities. The qualifications, experience and background you’d like to see in the ideal candidate. How this position fits in the overall organizational structure as is possible. We like to meet with as many people as possible, to ensure that we fully understand what you need, and to ensure that we fully understand your organization’s culture. Our consultants then have a clear understanding of the needs of the organization and the views and perspectives of those involved in the hiring process. In this way, everyone is on “the same page” regarding the profile of the candidate we are jointly seeking. SearchGrupo Balmaseda uses advanced technology, Hispanic / Latino business and social networks, and reliable international contacts to develop our database of prospective candidates. Senior level consultants personally manage your search. We conduct interviews with each potential candidate, check references thoroughly, conduct background verification, and submit reports / resumes to those involved in the search process. SelectionThe final stage of the search involves scheduling candidate interviews and managing the completion of the search. This includes coordinating the logistics of the interview process, debriefing candidates, exchanging feedback with you, assisting with selecting finalists, and helping to negotiate an acceptable offer with a candidate. FeesA negotiated contingency fee will be paid to Grupo Balmaseda when the client hires or contracts with one of our candidates. Fees are a negotiated percentage based on the annual compensation package. The fees may be on a sliding scale depending on the level of compensation. |


A contingency search is a conditional agreement, between Grupo Balmaseda and its client(s). The client provides Grupo Balmaseda with information pertaining to its open position(s) including, position levels, titles, compensation figures and geographic parameters. Grupo Balmaseda, in turn, provides the client with specialized recruiting services that focus on identifying the finest Hispanic / Latino talent.
